Accounts in Arabic script, in large letters with wide line spacing. Reminiscent of state accounts, but likely private. The second row mentions ambergris; the third row begins "wa-ayḍan," the fifth row looks like it mentions "the shroud of the mother" (fī kafan al-wālida), but this is probably wrong. Letter fragment (lower right of recto, lower left of verso) in lovely handwriting. Mentions the capitation tax, hunger, and charity. On verso a woman seems to be addressed (wa-taquli lahu). Other phrases: "he ordered me many times that" and "an expression that befits his like." ASE.

The sender reports that he received 11.5 dirhams out of the silver that he had 'transferred' (aḥāla) to Abū Manṣūr, and he still has a credit of 6 dirhams.
