Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Somewhat idiosyncratic handwriting, without much space in between the words. Mentions: Ibn ʿAṭiyya; possibly customs taxes (maks); someone drinking with his brother-in-law; a girl (al-ṣughayyira); Naḥum; Futūḥ; Maʿānī; and Hilāl b. Zikrī. The story sounds interesting, but little can be understood without a join. (Information in part from CUDL)

Letter in Judaeo-Arabic quoting biblical verses and mentioning "ha-melekh ha-mashiah" (lit. the annointed king = the messiah).

Communal petition. Petition from a man claiming to be without shelter and saying he was living in a donkey's stable without anything to eat. He asks the recipient to extricate from another man the 13 5/8 dinars he owes him and apologizes for being unable to attend public prayer service because of his present state. "For one month, thirty days, I have been living in a donkey's stable, alone, starving, and ill; most of the time I do not eat or drink. Meat, fish, or rich food do not come into my mouth. My strength fails because of my sinfullness" (Mediterranean Society, V, pp. 90, 91).

Seems like a letter of appeal for assistance. The writer mentions that he was almost died in jail. He probably have a debt for some high government officials as he mentions the Emir. Seems he was robbed by the gentiles. All is fragmentary. mentioning a certain Avraham b. [...]. And Avraham Hanagid - probably Avraham Maimuni II. The name [...] ha-Ma'arvi b. Yosef appeared in the address on the verso. AA

Hillel; Ibn al-Sadīd; Bū l-Karam b. Ḥanikh or Ḥunaykh (cf. T-S 13J21.30 and T-S 24.25 for this (family?) name); Yūsuf the brother of the judge; someone named Ibn Qifl who came down from Fustat; and Ibn Yaʿqūb the opponent or debtor (gharīm) of Abū l-Faḍl b.
