Letter in the hand of Yefet b. Menashshe, probably addressed to his brother Ḥalfon b. Menashshe. In Judaeo-Arabic. Fragment (lower part of recto). Mentions: the sale of something by Efrayim; something that should be sent with Ibn al-Dawāniqī(?) ('the penny pincher'); an urgent request to write to al-qāḍī al-makīn about something that will help Yefet; something "this year in al-Mahdiyya"; regards to Sitt Naʿīm (Ḥalfon's wife). This document was reused for legal jottings in the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe, which mention Sutūt the wife of Khalaf b. Qashqūsh; a real-estate transaction; and a quarter of house in Qaṣr al-Shamʿ in the alley of the shop (zuqāq al-dukkān) in partnership with Aharon ha-Kohen.

Business letter. In Judaeo-Arabic. Reporting on goods that arrived and prices (incl. mercury) and goods that were sent with the bearer of this letter (incl. pepper, clove).
Letter, apparently the second folio of what used to be two folios. In Judaeo-Arabic. Dealing with some business matters and containing an urgent request for the addressee to try to remember where he left the key to the chest belonging to the writer's shop. They have looked everywhere and cannot find it. It seems the mice have broken into the chest and are damaging the goods, mainly clothing (qad naqaba l-fa'ru l-ṣandūq wa-akalahu). The handwriting resembles that of CUL Or.1081 J28 (containing a similar complaint about mice). This letter also mentions business in cannabis (qunnab).

Letters of recommendation, probably. For Barukh Löb (here also called Barukh Lion). Written in Mainz. Presumably the language is German. Dated: 30th and 31st August 1842 CE, signed by Moritz […], Samuel Jonas Bondi and Jacob Levy. There is a second fragment here, also written in Latin script, which appears to be dated 1845 CE.
