State document of some kind. Needs examination.

Report on income from a province (ʿaml al-[...]) submitted to the diwan of al-Afḍal (i.e., the vizier al-Afḍal b. Badr al-Jamālī, r. 1094–1121). Some of the text: مبلغ . . . من عمل ال . . . . . . . . . . . . . الافضلية الذي عرض بالمجلس العالي خلد الله سلطانه بتاريخ التاسع عش من . . . . On verso, possibly the continuation of the document and some Greek/Coptic numerals. Needs further examination.

Original use: Two lines from a petition about property rights, mentioning an alley (zuqāq) in Fustat and something under the name of al-qāḍī al-sadīd and a 'mound' (kawm) that belongs by rights to the petitioner. Secondary use: Lists of names and numbers in Arabic script and Greek/Coptic numerals, probably private business accounts.

Fiscal record or receipt, early Fatimid. Binding perforations, indicating that it was once stiffening material for a book cover.

Recto: State document, huge line spacing, ends with ṣalwala in a calligraphic hand, probably a decree. On verso there is a letter (see separate record). Perforated for binding.

Tax receipt, Fatimid. Blank verso. Perforated for binding. For the capitation tax of Hiba b. Yūsuf; same dossier as T-S Misc.24.38.1–3 and ENA 3936.3. Dated: Jumādā I 552 AH (=June/July 1157 CE).

Receipt (fiscal?) for Abū l-Mūnā b. Ibrāhīm al-Malījī (?) Bū l-Ḥusayn b. Sulaymān [tawliya al-shadd??]. Ends with ḥamdala and ṣalwala, with no registration requests or marks. Perforation marks for binding. Needs further examination.

Tax receipt, Fatimid, one registration mark: al-ḥamdū lil-lāh ʿalā niʿamih. Damaged and not easy to decipher bottom lines with date and jahbadh signature. Verso: text and genre unclear, but contains an ʿalāma: al-ḥamdu lil-lāh kamā huwa ahluhu. Dated Ṣafar 436 H.

Fiscal register (possibly equivalent to what al-Makhzūmī and Ibn Mammātī call a rūznāmaj). Contains multiple entries, each with a date and a sum. Each entry has a pair of ʿalāʾim on top, suggesting a process of registration and certification akin to that on the fiscal receipts themselves. The procedure implied here is remarkably congruous with al-Makhzūmī’s claim that the mushārif and ʿāmil signed off not only on the receipts, but on the makhzūma of the jahbadh. Tax receipt for Bū l-Makārim b. Bū Ishaq, possibly for the purchase of a house in Fustat. Contains one registration mark.

State document in Arabic script. Refers to "the noble order" (al-amr al-ajall) and possibly the year 45[.] AH (=1058–67 CE). Needs examination.

Fragment, 11 lines in a chancery hand with not very legible script. Mamlukī names in pretty naskhī script on verso. Perforations of binding.

Petition in Arabic script. There are multiple senders, one of whom may be the Jew Abū [...] (line 2). Much of the readily legible text is very formulaic. They refer to khurūj al-amr al-ʿāl ('the issuing of the elevated command').

Tax receipt, Fatimid. One registration mark; 'al-ḥamdu lil-lāh ḥamd al-shākirīn'. Written in the month of Jumād al-Ukhrā of an undeciphered year. Blank verso. Perforated for binding.
